As part of the Mythology course, I was tasked with a creative writing assignment to re-imagine an existing myth. I decided to choose the "Cosmic Egg" myth as I liked how the myth describes the creation of all things, including duality such as hot and cold. However, I felt that the myth missed out on describing the creation of duality in mankind. In my essay, I wanted to give an explanation on why humans have an 'evil' and 'good' side to them, and how they the two sides eventually merged to become one.
